WE AIM TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE - IF THERE IS ANYTHING NOT LISTED HERE PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH

HOW MUCH ARE HAIR EXTENSIONS / HAIR REPLACEMENT SERVICES?

Prices are by consultation only.  We offer a range of range of application methods, hair ranges, hair textures, variety of colours & lengths. The length, texture. & volume of your natural hair and your goal result will determine how much hair & service time will be required to achieve this.

All prices are tailored to each individual client.

DO EXTENSIONS DAMAGE YOUR HAIR?

Correctly fitted hair extensions which are properly maintained at home will not cause damage to your natural hair.

Hair Extensions should only be fitted by a qualified professional. Ask to see pictures of the actual fittings in the root area to check the standard of application, not the just the finished look.  Your hair extension professional is legally required to provide aftercare information.

WILL A HAIR REPLACEMENT SYSTEM CAUSE FURTHER HAIR LOSS?

This will depend on the underlying cause of the hair loss. Some conditions are naturally progressive so will not display any improvements at periodic checks.

In some cases Hair Replacement Systems may accelerate hair loss where the connections are placed.

With other conditions the hair is given a rest and recovery time beneath the hair system and growth occurs.

You must always understand the underlying condition and be made aware of any implications & risks involved with beginning a Hair Replacement Service.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Timescales will vary with each client & application method based on how much work is involved. You will be given a timescale at your consultation.

HOW LONG WILL MY HAIR EXTENSIONS / HAIR REPLACEMENT SYSTEM LAST?

This will depend on the application method and the hair range you wear combined with the level of aftercare you practice and the products you use.

You will be given a guide as to how long your expected lifespan would be based on your personal factors at your consultation.

HOW DO I LOOK AFTER THEM?

each method has different aftercare requirements.

We have  comprehensive aftercare guides on our website, provide leaflets in salon and are available to answer any questions you have.

WHERE DOES THE HAIR COME FROM?

This will depend on the Hair Range you are wearing.

The hair we use is Russian / Mongolian and Chinese. The donors are paid directly for the purchase of their hair.

We also use Indian hair which is sourced from mainly Hindu Indian Temples. The donors make a sacrificial offering of their hair in a ceremony called 'Tonsuring' as a display of religious devotion or humility.  The temples collect the hair & it is sold. The donors do not receive direct payment, but some companies pay a higher price on the basis the money is to be invested into local infrastructure.

IS IT REAL HAIR?

All the hair we work with is 100% Human Hair to allow it to work in perfect harmony with your natural hair and lifestyle.

CAN I TIE MY HAIR UP?

All our Hair Extension methods allow your hair to be tied up. With all methods it is not advised to be tied into a tight ponytail as this will cause tension on areas the natural hair.  Some methods allow hair to be tied up higher than others. Each client is different so placement of attachments will vary based on individual requirements.

IVE LOST SOME STRANDS - IS THAT NORMAL?

Based on the longevity of wear losing a few strands is perfectly normal.

It will vary method to method but clients can lose anything between 5- 15 during up to a 12 week period. (More for Fusion Bonds worn for longer periods)

Aftercare is key in preventing strand loss.

If you experience a high strand loss over a short period of time please contact us ASAP so we can aim to establish the underlying cause.

MY HEAD FEELS ITCHY - IS THAT NORMAL?

Many clients report itching post fitting, sometimes the day after fitting others a few days later. This is the hair and scalp adjusting to the attachments. Scratching can make the symptoms worse and irritate the scalp. Try to 'pat' the itch rather than scratch.  Severe itching, burning and visible irritation is not normal and could indicate an allergic reaction. In the extremely rare event of this happening please contact us ASAP or seek medical advise if reaction is severe.

Sometimes a change in hair product can cause irritation or the rich hair extension shampoo hasn't be rinsed from the hair properly.

If in doubt or you are concerned, please don't hesitate to contact us.

DO I NEED A SPECIAL BRUSH?

Yes. The bristles should be flexible and long enough to reach into the root area yet flexible enough to bend over the attachments. Each bristle should be straight without a little round nodule on each as these can catch in the attachments and cause snagging / pulling.

We stock a variety of brushes designed specifically for hair extensions.

CAN I CURL & STRAIGHTEN THE EXTENSIONS?

Yes they are 100% Human Hair and can be treated the same. It is recommended you use a Heat Protection product when using hot tools.

WHY DO YOU TAKE A DEPOSIT?

We order your hair from our suppliers based on your specific requirements.

Your deposit covers the cost of the hair and partially the service time.

CAN I USE DRY SHAMPOO?

Yes but we recommend only using on the top of the head and around the perimeter edges where you are extension free.

The ingredients in dry shampoo can cause attachment deterioration if regularly used over time.

It can also clog around the attachments, can be hard to rinse and sits within the natural shed hair binding it together thus making removal time longer.

CAN I PAY BY CREDIT CARD?

We accept all major cards, bank transfer and cash.

IM PREGNANT, CAN I HAVE HAIR EXTENSIONS?

We do not fit extensions on pregnant women due to the hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy.  Each pregnancy is different & these changes can have an adverse effect on the hair.  Hyperemesis  Gravidarum (morning sickness) can lead to vitamin and iron deficiencies, if severe these can lead to malnorishment.  All these factors can have a big adverse effect on your hair. Generally most women 'bloom' and report their hair feels thicker and healthy during pregnancy, but every experience will be different and as there is a risk, no matter how small,  we refuse to take that with clients hair.

If you are a regular client of ours and have extensions fitted and become pregnant we always recommend removal, however we will know your hair well and will recognise any adverse changes beginning to occur. We are happy to monitor your hair regularly and trust you to advise us ASAP if you notice changes occurring.  We won't refit towards end of pregnancy or at least until 5 months post birth.

Post Partum Telligen Effluvium (Post pregnancy shedding) is extremely common and is due to the hormone levels adjusting. This will vary client to client,

Adding extensions to actively shedding hair will accelerate the process.  Breast feeding may see a delay and shedding may not occur until breast feeding has completely stopped. We will need to see you in person and advise and test accordingly until you are able to resume extension wear.

I LOST MY HAIR THROUGH CHEMOTHERAPY BUT ITS GROWING BACK. WHEN CAN I HAVE HAIR EXTENSIONS?

The hair growth may appear healthy but could still be weak within the root area. We don't fit extensions until you are a minimum of 12 months from your last treatment.

We will perform a series of tests and apply strand tests until we are confident your hair is recovered and long enough to be suitable to carry the additional weight.

We may consider a Hair Replacement System the most suitable option before transitioning to hair extensions.

I HAVE PURCHASED MY OWN HAIR EXTENSIONS. CAN YOU FIT THEM?

No, sorry. We will only work with hair that we have supplied and purchased from our trusted brands and suppliers. Our purchase enters a manufacturers guarantee so we are able to extend this to our clients in the rare event of a product issue. We have full trust in the quality, longevity of wear and after purchase customer service with the brands we offer.

I HAVE EXTENSIONS FITTED ELSEWHERE. CAN YOU REMOVE / REFIT THEM?

We do not remove hair extensions fitted elsewhere as we would not have prior knowledge of the condition of your hair pre fitting and during wear. We won't know the aftercare advise you have been given or followed or any underlying medical conditions or information disclosed at your previous consultation. If an adverse change has occurred then it is only fair and professional respect for your previous technician to be given the opportunity to see and advise on this personally without involvement form third parties.  If you have relocated from an area or country where you are unable to travel to where they were initially fitted we will consider accepting you as a client but we will need to see you in person prior to agreeing to removal.

If you believe an adverse change has occurred we will not comment or become involved in what may be the cause, we will simply advise if a new fitting is possible or a rest period is required.

I HAVE HAD EXTENSIONS FITTED ELSEWHERE & IM NOT HAPPY WITH THEM. CAN I HAVE SOME ADVISE?

No unfortunately we believe it is disrespectful to the profession to comment or give an opinion on someones else work. It is only fair to contact the individual who fitted them to give them the opportunity to deal with and resolve any issues, concerns or complaints you may have.

Please read above.

MY BLONDE EXTENSIONS HAVE CHANGED COLOUR TO A PINKY / ORANGE COLOUR?

This is a chemical reaction caused by the hair coming into contact with an ingredient used in Sunscreens called Avobenzone and iron particles in water.

Please read our holiday aftercare guide for further info and how to resolve.

It may also be caused by coming into contact with fake tan.
